annual activities

The activities of our Agrupation aren’t only dance or play music in different festival or acts during the year like exhibition, but we realize a series of annual projects, to show and to spread the Basque culture between the whole people. The most important they are these:

SANTA TERESA's PARTY

In October the festivity is celebrated of SantaTeresa, mistress of Beurko-Bagatza's neighborhood, where they find the places of our Group. Until a few years ago, the party were celebrated with great success and abundance of people of all parts, not only of Barakaldo, which was turning them, together with the fiestas of Carmen, in most visited and animated by all. But for municipal order, all the fiestas of neighborhoods remained suspended, except those of San Vicente, (boss of Barakaldo) and those of the peripheral neighborhoods. But it did not discourage to the cultural groups of the neighborhood, between them, the Ibarrakaldu, and in spite of to have neither money nor subsidies nor infrastructure to organize the fiestas of the neighborhood, on having come these dates continue being realized several acts during these dates by own bill of the cultural groups, with the hope to recover some day those that many people  qualified in its moment since " the Barakaldo's best fiesta ".

STA. AGUEDA's CHORUS

The Sta Agueda's day, like it is tradition, we go out to street to sing the song in honour to this saint, and the Ibarra-Kaldu, with another organization do every year, with a lot of people to they joint into chorus.

OLENTZERO

The evening-night of Christmas’s night, like is tradition in Euskal Herria (Basque Country), it celebrate the Olentzero’s arrival, and every year, Ibarra-Kaldu calls the neighbourhood’s people to go out with us, and sing the typical songs from this day.
